Kenji Otsuka, President and Principal Consultant

Kenji brings you deliverables with high quality utilizing his strong expertise in Japanese financial regulation, superb familiarity in regional financial market convention and extensive experience in provision of consulting/advisory services to both Japanese and foreign clients. His deliverables are characterized by applicability to many types of financial clients' actual practices, which has been fostered by his abundant career in both financial industry and consulting business.

Prior to starting FINANCIAL ARTISAN, Kenji had been engaged mainly in risk management or corporate governance field for major Japanese financial institutions such as Mizuho Securities and the Long-Term Credit Bank of Japan for about 15 years. In addition, he has six-year careers at consulting firms consisting of Deloitte and Ernst & Young for financial sectors chiefly regarding risk/compliance advisory, IT implementation or other assistance in enhancement in internal control.

Kenji has also frequently published articles on Japanese financial media and held seminars on domestic/global financial regulations including Dodd-Frank and Basel 3, and financial supervisory organisations all over the world.

Kenji graduated in Law from University of Tokyo in 1989.
He is CPA in the State of New Hampshire, a Member of the Japan-India Association, CMA® and Certified Member of JAFCO (Global CFO, CTP).
